Garnet

Red, brown, and sometimes purplish blue, garnet is a fine stone much appreciated by jewelers. Used for over 2,000 years, garnet goes by the name of pyrope, almandine, spessartite or grossular depending on its color. Rare tsavorite garnet stands out with its intense green hue.

Garnets are generally sourced from deposits in South Africa, Madagascar, Sri Lanka, India, and Pakistan. They play their full part in Mazet Joaillerie’s classic or innovative items of jewelry. Garnet presents a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale.
